What's the best way to capture console gaming?

Hi there, its kp. Just now (1:58 pm 12/17/2011), I was looking for something that I could get for Christmas, and I thought to myself "Hey! Why don't I get me a capture card to record my gaming for xbox!" The idea seemed good, but what should I get was the real problem. I went looking for some good capture cards to use, but none of the information was really useful, and I was afraid that if I buy a random capture card some of the following might happen: The quality is terrible along with the audio, It might easily break or doesn't work, and that the capture card is just a scam. The Hauupauge HD PVR is still one of the best choices hands down in terms of compatibility and convenience.

I just googled that, read it, sounds AMAZING. Although this is the best I have ever seen out of game capture cards, i'm going to keep that HD PVR in mind, just in case I can't afford it, or etc. But all in all, the PVR is amazing, thanks for suggesting it Austin.
